Sunday sunday...
Today started at 12 midnight! haha... bought chinese take away again from Jung Ying then went up to Lee Meng's room to eat. After we all had finished our fried rice and chow mein, we sat back to enjoy American Wedding!! I'll tell you one thing, no wonder the movie was banned.
So, after the movie, came back to my room to sleep. Unfortunately, slept so late that could not wake up at 6. Instead, woke up at nearly 9 and missed the bus to Hope City Church. Then, called a taxi but gave them the wrong address. =P what a start huh?
Finally, got the cab but unfortunately, the cabbie didn't know where the church was! Nice guy the cabbie, a Pakistani who was discussing Tun Dr. Mahathir with me. Seems that the Pakistani bigwigs really respect Mahathir and the changes he has done in Malaysia. How's that for strengthening our patriotism?
Anyway, the cabbie let me down at Hyde Park and then I just ask around for directions to the church. Luckily, there was a church nearby and the guy I saw there knew the Hope City Church! So, he kindly directed me to it and, I was there! Came in after the worship unfortunately =(
However, the service was good and really like the churches back home (according to my friends) and similar to the service in the Christian Fellowships I went to back home. Saw quite a number of fellow Malaysians there including Terence, the ex-vice pres of MASSOC!!
Some of the Malaysians there were going out for dim sum and invited me so, I went! Walked all the way to the city centre (which suprisingly, wasn't very taxing on the leg and feet given that I was wearing the formal shoes). The seniors ordered the food so I just sit back, eat, and chatted away...
At the end of lunch, one of the seniors, Albert, paid for it and said that lunch was on him! Wah!! Really nice of him... especially when he just met me too...
Then, took a bus back to Halifax Hall to watch the Man U vs Liverpool match. Oh yeah! Man U 2, Liverpool 1!! Which is the greatest team? Man U, Man U!! haha... to all the Liverpool fans out there... too bad, maybe next decade...=P Well, gotta go for dinner now, see you all next week!
P.S. I just noticed... I can type without even looking at the keyboard, cool or what?

AGM and new committee!
Ok, the day started with me going to lectures from 10 to 1. Then at 2, went to the lecture theatre where the AGM was to be held. Just spent some time in it revising my speech before they started. Then, they told us the order of our speech. I was no. 16 (2 x 8, is that lucky?). so, listen to the speeches by the other candidates. Some were really power pack and some even had powerpoint presentation!! Then, came my turn. Hehe... just forget everything I memorize and just went with the flow... not bad though. After all the speeches, then came a Q&A session where questions were directed at the posts so no personal questions. I managed to answer all the questions!
Finally, came voting time! Basically just had a piece of paper with all the nominees on it and just tick who we voting for. Something like ballot but no curtain to block others from seeing and also can discuss with friends =). The result was to be announced at the union at 9 pm.
At 9.30 pm (Malaysian time, what you expect?), we all gathered at the correct place and there, they announce the results!
First of all, I'd like to thank all who voted for me to be president. I believe that this year's committee will be as good if not better than the previous committee. I believe that the commitee will bring MASSOC to the next level. Anyway, here are the results...
For committee members:
Denise!!
Harjeet Kaur!!
Katherine!!
Kevin Tan!!
Ken!!
For treasurer:Voon Chung!
For secretary:Some girl... can't remember name...
For vice:Victoria Lip!
And finally for president... who else la?
Not me!! haahahaahaaaa... =P
Zhuo Wei got it and I think, he deserve it. He is very passionate about the post and he did the best campaigning so, to Zhuo Wei, all the best to you man!! Bring MASSOC to the next level!
After the announcements... hang around a bit to congratulate the new committee (and to get Voon Chung to sponsor me a car... =D) then went to Crookes Valley Park to watch fireworks. Bonfire night ma...
Well, that's the end of my day. That's all, folks!

Sat Night Fever...
okok, before my mom rushes to get a ticket here, this does NOT mean I'm having a fever...
Right, this night (well, a couple of hours ago...), went down to the bar to celebrate a friend's birthday. Saw all the disco lights and thought something else was going on... never mind, masuk sajalah...
So, there we were, a group of 5. Then, invited 3 girls down and it was balanced! Actually didn't do much, just belanja the birthday boy 1 pint of beer each (us 3 guys anyway). The four girls had their drinks paid for by Wong (the birthday guy). So, started lah... Wong had to drink each glass of beer with whoever who paid for it... so, all of us got a similar amount. For me, I just got him 1 shot of some pineapple thingy, not too bad... would have tasted better without the alcohol =P Wong drank veerryyy slowly so, we tried to speed him up... haha... didn't work. Well, we all just sat there, chit-chatting, taking pictures and generally just watch Wong down glass after glass... heh.
After that, go back to roomla! what you expect? Wong wasn't that drunk, think he made it back to his room ok. Room nearby only anyway...
Well... that's it for tonight! Had my first taste of something alcoholic here in Britain! So, anyone betting I would take some alcohol here and/or go disco, must belanja me lunch when I come back in June!!!

Halloween Disco
Alright, it's the morning after the first disco of my life... ok Tim Nam, i've been in a disco. So, what next?
Well, actually the night started out kinda funny... i met up with Isaac and along with some other people, called for cabs and we were off!! Reach the place a little late then got in the queue to go in. Got our tickets (for the special room... *shrug*). Then, met up with Voon Chung and the rest of the engineering guys (and gal). Partay!!
Heehee... actually, no. Was sitting inside the room with them for a while, took some pictures during that time. Too bad I didn't bring my camera. After a while, suddenly they decided to go out!! What to do? Followlah... boy, was the music loud!! And I thought my volumn was too much... Then, just walk around for a bit then joined a friend on the dance floor. Alright, this is where I discover that... I really don't like dance music. It was loud and flat. All that boosted your adrenalin is the bass thumping away. Sometimes I feel like just going with the flow but, cannotlah... I listen to Linkin Park on my laptop also more shiokla!!!! haih...
Ok, had enough of the dance floor so stepped outside for a bit of fresh air and to let my ears return to normal. Wow, now I know what they mean by ears ringing... After a very short time outside, came back in and saw Vicky. Apparently he had enough also and wanted to go back. Fine by me but going just 2 of us not nice, taxi fair steep... =D. So, we looked around and found a couple of guys who were ready to go too, Isaac and Surin. Went outside and found another guy, Joe. He wanted to call his friend out so we waited a bit. We waited and waited and waited and waited... haih, got tired of waiting so hailed a cab and 4 of us got in. Took the taxi all the way to Halifax. 4 pounds 70 pence! but share 4 people, 1 pound 20p each okla.... nyuk nyuk, I untung, only paid 1 pound 10p =P. So, that was the end of the adventure... too many people, music so loud cannot get to know people... and finally, once and for all, do NOT like dance music. Now, for the REAL adrenalin rush, Linkin Park!!!!!!
