Right now, I'm in a cybercafe so it's hard to think of anything to write about. But, for the cause of a New Year resolution (and to avoid another free meal!), here's a post!
Let's see... it's been an up and down week, but then again, it's always been an up and down week since I reach Penang. I still miss ACTS and Hope City and there are days when I seriously consider quitting Intel just to go back. Sometimes, I wonder if missing those 2 churches is more to do with me or the churches here.
Other than more thought provoking sessions (i.e. cellgroup and church), I have also picked up Warcraft and DotA! WAahahahahahaaha... but not seriously (I hope!). I see it more as a chance to entertain myself and enjoy time with friends. But, we will see how things proceed from here on.
Countdown... 14 days till house shifting and 21 days till CNY.

many a times in life when things don't go the way we would like it to be, we tend to reflect back on what was past. when human does that we always feel that things were always better then. it has been proven that newspaper headlines 80 years ago sounds just as gloomy as it is today and everybody used to think that doomsday has arrived but the world went on for another century. whether the glass is half full or half empty is seriously up to ourselves to perceive. personally i prefer to plan forward cuz i believe that is why i was given a mind and that gives me hope and a good purpose in life.anyway all things past can never be the same cuz the time is already different.look forward and move instead of turning backwards and sigh.
ReplyDeletei've told myself not to look back at what was great. instead, i knew that the future is better! but, it's hard when the future isn't better than the past. or rather, when i know the past is right and that's exactly how it should be and the present just seems so wrong....
ReplyDeletecoincidentally or ...maybe, God's plan, i heard a msg today from a sister in Christ. She says "don't talk about the past, don't look only into the future. the time is now. she says now is called 'the present' cuz it is truly a gift from God." live every moment well, treasure every moment that we have cuz we will never go thro' it again. btw, what is so wrong about the present?
ReplyDeleteyou can't live in the present if the present isn't a gift from God.
